New Special Issue: Current Trends in Plant Science and Microbiome for Sustainability
PLANT SCIENCE TODAY (PST)
Volume 12 | Special Issue No. 1 | 2025
Plants are one of the most important creatures on the planet as they have been playing a beneficial role in other creatures’ lives. The plant provides food and shelter to animals and microbes. Microbes show synergism with plants help in the protection from biotic (pest and pathogens) and abiotic (moisture, salt, temperature, ionic and heavy metals) stresses, and provides nutrients to plants. The plant science and microbiome have various applications in agriculture and the environment for sustainability. The special issue on “Current Trends in Plant Science and Microbiome for Sustainability” is an effort to compile the latest information, innovations, and advancements in the field of plant sciences and microbiome. Moreover, it will cover the different aspects of plant microbial synergistic interactions, plant microbiome, genomics, and their application for sustainability.
Topics to be covered include:
• Bioactive compounds and Secondary Metabolites of plants
• Plants stress
• Plants, pests, and pathogens
• Plants, microbes, and climate change
• Cross-talk between plants and microbes
• Phytoremediation and bioremediation
• Phytohormones and their roles
• Microbial diversity from diverse plants host
• Plant-microbes Interactions
• Mechanisms of plant growth promotion under natural and abiotic stress conditions
• Plant microbes for bioactive compound production for industrial sustainability
• Microbiomes diversity (Epiphytic/endophytic/rhizospheric/soil)
• Role of microbiomes in plant growth, protectivity, and productivity
• Omics Sciences in plant, soil and phytomicrobiome research
• Biotechnological applications of microbes for agriculture and environments
