Download template for preparing your accepted article

Before submission of the final formatted manuscripts, please make sure that:
  • Manuscript title is to be given as lower case, except for the first letter or Scientific names where the first letter can be given in upper case.
  • Author affiliations are given in the following pattern: Department, Institution, City postal code, Country. When affiliation differ for one or more authors, use numbers in superscript to denote each of them.
  • Email id of corresponding author - provide * after the corresponding author name.
  • While mentioning scientific names such as Centella asiatica - its first occurrence in any section (like methods, results, etc) can be given as Centella asiatica and subsequently, it should be given as C. asiatica. Scientific names should be given in italics.
  • Figure numbers are to be denoted in the text (mark the locations in the manuscript where to insert the figures) and in the figure captions as Fig. 1. Caption goes here...., etc
  • Table numbers are to be denoted in the text (mark the locations in the manuscript where to insert the tables) and in the table captions as Table 1. Caption goes here...., etc
  • References within the text should start from 1. They should be cited under the References section in the order you have cited them in the text (ie. no need to sort the reference list alphabetically). See detailed Reference Style Guide.
  • Number of references: Limited to maximum of 100 for review articles and 50 for other types of articles. Authors should cite the references of articles indexed in Scopus – How to find a journal index in Scopus? Go to Scopus content at https://www.scopus.com/standard/marketing.uri
  • Make sure that the references cited in the text are given in brackets, eg. (1). When multiple references are to be given, it should be like (1, 3, 9). If the references are to be mentioned continuously, like 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, it can be denoted in the text as (1-5).
  • The reference list should be numbered through Numbering option of your word processing application. Manual numbering will cause issues during the layout process.
  • Make sure that you have provided Acknowledgments, Authors’ contribution, Competing Interest and Ethical declaration. Refer author guidelines before preparing these sections.
  • DOI numbers should be added to the references. Copy and paste your references to the webpage at https://doi.crossref.org/simpleTextQuery and find out the DOI numbers. You need to add these DOI numbers to your reference list at respective places.
  • Figures (if any) are to be submitted as separate files along with the formatted manuscript. Save colour illustrations as RGB at max. 300 dpi (JPG or PNG or PDF preferred). Figure parts, if any, should be identified by upper-case roman letters (A, B, etc.). Scale bars should be included on illustrations with measurement. Figure legends must be brief, self-sufficient explanations of the illustrations. The figure legends (NOT the figures as such- figure files are to be sent seperately as mentioned above) should be placed at the end of the manuscript text.
  • Very important: Obtain permission and provide the agreement given by the copyright holder if a figure is being reproduced from another source.

Manuscripts NOT formatted following the above guidelines will be returned to authors.

The manuscript must be a clean version without having track changes and comments.

Please send the accepted manuscript formatted using the template provided to the Editorial Assistant (and not directly to the journal office). Email id of the Editorial Assistant can be found in any previous communications. See FAQ for details.
